Flying Saucer

About this business

Dallas entrepreneur Shannon Wynne followed the success of his chic 8.0 bar with the Flying Saucer concept. Flying Saucer has an extensive menu of draft and bottled beers, plus an impressive collection of flea market vintage dinnerware displayed on its walls. Live music is found on weekend nights. The food menu has a German flair with Beer Cheese Soup, a build-your-own sausage and cheese plate, sausage quesadillas and Bratwurst.

Flying Saucer has been one of my go-to spots since 2005. Great rotating beer selection and good food.

Beer is good. They have a lot of it, so I like to stop by and drink some of it.

Over the years I took two of my wives there. One didn’t drink beer but the other sure did and we always enjoyed the food.

The bartenders are fun, knowledgeable, and efficient. Great beer selection. Phenomenal vibe. Alone, or with a group this place is welcoming.

Good beer selection and decent bar food. However most FS waitresses have no clue about craft beer. It just seems like they should hire/train their wait staff to actually know the different styles and taste profiles of craft beer. Other than that it’s a good place to get a wide variety of beer.

The best bar, best beer, best servers and management. If you only have time to go to one place, make it the Addison Flying Saucer!! Merry Christmas!!!

Every beer I tasted had a bad aftertaste, the fish was over cooked, and the brownie ice cream thing was horrible. Don’t waste your money here. There is one positive, the service from the staff is awesome. Our waitress had the best attitude she tried making it better but there are just somethings you can’t help. Maybe the owners need to clean the beer keg lines, and change the fryer grease. With that said I bet the kitchen looks like crap.
