A former US Navy debarkation point built in 1942, Fleet Landing lay vacant after World War II. Located on the eastern waterfront side of the Historic District, the 6000 square-foot (557 square-meter) concrete building was purchased by Tradd Newton in 2004. He opened this one-story, nautical-themed restaurant with Chef Drew Hedlund, whose menu includes classic and contemporary Southern fare, with an emphasis on seafood. Best food I've had in years great service we were from Pittsburg very little seafood here. Both of us retired USN so thought we d try it. Excellent
