HORRIBLE SERVICE- HORRIBLE FOOD. – AFTER CALLING TO ORDER FOOD- I QUICKLY ASKED FOR THE MANAGER- THE GUY ANSWERING THE PHONE WAS OUTRAGIOUSLY RUDE.I THREATENED TO CALL MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND DISPUTE CHARGES AFTER THEM CHARGING FOR THE FOOD ALTHOUGH I NEVER RECIEVED ANY. THE MANAGER, A LADY, THEN TALKED ME DOWN SUGGESTING JUST TAKE THE CREDIT FOR NEXT TIME. WELL, I JUST CALLED IN A CREDIT AND THEY SAID THAT THERE ARE NO WOMEN WORKING THERE.. THIS PLACE IS A DISASTER
Great Lunch Buffet – I just went for the very first time today and tried the lunch buffet and it was really tasty, I used to drive all the way to culver city for an indian buffet that I like down there but this one is only 3 blocks from my house and waaay better. I will for sure be going back.
Awesome Food, Fantastic customer service! – Ok folks, I can't figure out why this place has even one bad review, seriously! I am an Indian and believe me when I say that most Indian food in the US tastes pathetic to say the least. But Flavor of India changed my opinion in a second. I and my husband had the Baingan Bharta and the Lamb Frankie and they were both so delicious. And the customer service is exceptionally good. I wanted to have Salt Lassi( buttermilk flavored with salt, spices and lemon juice) and though they did n... read more
Worst Indian in LA!! – WHAT A JOKE!!! I've tried almost every Indian restaurant from West Hollywood to Santa Monica and this is easily the worst. Short version of my experience: 1. Tasteless food (almost impossible for Indian food but somehow these people manage to do it); 2. Awful service; 3. Seriously overpriced. I recently went with a friend and we both had chicken dishes. I had the Chicken Vindaloo - the menu said it was "Extra spicy". When it came out I couldn't even recognize it as being chicken vindaloo. The dish was ... read more
Punjabi cuisine This place has good northern Indian cuisine. Their sauces are magnificent. They have a great range of vegetarian meals. Great lunch specials and buffet too.

Northern India in West Hollywood Flavor of India is a Northern Indian/Punjabi restaurant. The food is outstanding and the prices are affordable. There are daily specials on fresh chutneys and curries. Generally, the food is tasty spicy but not burning hot. The tikkas and tandooris are memorable. It's certainly the best authentic Indian restaurant in West Hollywood. They have a valet lot but there is some street parking on Santa Monica. There is also a weekday (and weekend/ Sunday brunch) buffet which is quite impressive.
Spice and romance radiate from this secret garden of Indian cuisine. – In Short A softly lit, mostly outdoor dining area has a rattan roof and piped-in heat to protect clientele from the elements. Indian pop music plays in the background as attentive waitstaff hums along. Authentic Indian dishes include chicken masala, homemade curries and sev puri--bite-size wafers with potato, onion and tamarind chutney, topped with chickpea noodles. Shahi paneer is a dish of cheese, raisins and cashews swathed in rich ginger- and garlic-i... read more
Great food, even better service! – Visiting LA from SF...we spontaneously stopped in at this charming restaurant on Santa Monica Blvd. We managed to sneak in at 7pm on a Friday night and were seated promptly on the covered patio. Everything was great, from the appetizer (try the Idli!) to the tandoori mixed grill (only the shrimp disappointed, overcooked/dry), meats were all tender and spiced just right, and the Chicken Tikka Masala was delicious. We were waited on by one of the owners I believe who was genial and helpful in... read more
