My broker was placing my 1x close construction/permanent loan with this bank. We were told that it would be 60 days to close once they received the loan package. This is after the 30+ days that it has taken to get this far with reviewing credit, house plans, land survey, land title search, appraisal etc...I'm expecting to close in a week after submission...60 days is completely unacceptable!! We're now submitting my loan elsewhere...

I have had many clients work with First Guaranty Mortgage Corp that were refused loans with other lenders. One client wanted to get a lower rate two weeks before closing and the lender couldn't do it so I sent them to FGMC and not only did they get a lower rate but we closed on time.
Awful company to deal with! We have been waiting for months to close and have now been sitting at the closing table for over three hours! Very unprofessional and disorganized!
