About this business

The Firehouse Brewing Company has been crafting beer in South Dakota for 25 years - making us the oldest operating brewery in the state. Our building is one of Rapid City's most unique and interesting landmarks. Housed in the original Rapid City fire station, a structure built in 1915, it is listed on the National Historic Register. The bell tower tastes like it is infected with diacetyl. If I can get my server's attention, I'll try the red. Its been ten minutes already of trying to flag him down.

Drove from Chicago to Mt Rushmore, as soon as we enter South Dakota been seeing signs on the highway about Firehouse Right then decided we will try. The wait, about 15 min. But the service is to be desired We got our orders and have to wait for the waitress to return so we can ask for some knives and forks. The food is not great either We had the gumbo which taste like something from the grocery's frozen section and the chicken wings, Costco's frozen wings taste better.

Great place but I probably would have never went in there if I didn't see those 20 fire trucks along the highway with the Billboards

We sat at the bar so we avoided that waiting line to eat. We ordered our food at the bar and ate at the bar. Our bartender was awesome! She took our orders and kept our drinks full!! We also did some wine tasting before eating and bought the Battallion Blend....made by the Firehouse Wine Cellars. If you want quicker service....eat at the bar and avoid that wait time at the door!

Great food and an excellent staff. We only had to wait five minutes before they texted us that a table was ready. The place is decorated with fire memorabilia so it's a big hit for people of all ages.
