The Firehouse Brewing Company has been crafting beer in South Dakota for 25 years - making us the oldest operating brewery in the state. Our building is one of Rapid City's most unique and interesting landmarks. Housed in the original Rapid City fire station, a structure built in 1915, it is listed on the National Historic Register. Our bar is adorned with authentic South Dakota firefighting memorabilia from the days of Rapid City's first fire brigades - including the original fire pole, ladders, patches and more. We enjoyed our stop! Friendly staff, good food and good beer! Stopped next door for a T-shirt too!
The atmosphere was good and the server was nice. Food was ok, nothing really special about it. Didn't like the fact that they didn't have an actual beer menu; you had to read it off of a tv screen. Not really convenient when you're not close to it. All in all it's a cute place, but if I were in town again I'd pick somewhere different to try.
We had a great time for our first visit 8/19. It was super busy, but the staff took care of our needs. Everything was super good. Tasty beers, great and unique food! (Gorgonzola Ale soup was amazing) Will definitely be back!
Waitress with green hair and tattoos got half our order correct, so she got half her tip, food was cold and obviously pre -made and warned up a few times, because it was very dry, the cheese on my $10 burger was processed fake cheese, the beer was so/so, we were asked if we needed " any boxes" before half our party even bit into there food, very rushed......disapointed!
The beer was good to my husband but food experience wasn't good :( wouldn't go back !!!too much traffic and not enough attention on food preparation and seving food conditions . Ordered pork tacos and got a pork chop wrapped in a shell and then asked for bacon cheeseburger and fries . Well bacon cheeseburger wasn't done all the way and the fries were horrible -soggy:( even gave my waitor my plate to try to the fries ! he agreed they weren't good:(
After seeing all the road signs en route we were excited to stop. The service was non existent, and non attentitive when we finally were acknowledged. The service was no better on the wine side. The wine selections were sub par and the ones our group sampled did not taste to the palate as the description would entertain. Very disappointed as this kept us from other numerous options. Skip this place, go elsewhere!
I thought the food was awesome, loved the whole setting/atmosphere in there and our server Malachi did a great job being attentive and personable. If we ever came back out this way again, I would for sure stop there again. I would recommend it to anyone
We stoped in on our way to Casper. It was very busy and our wait time was only 12 minutes. Our server was super and our burgers were very good. All in all it was a very pleasant stop. We will stop in again for sure.
Waited over an hour for our food. Pop was flat. Food was okay.
