I have been going to the Filling Station for over 20 years. I keep coming back because the food is great, the service is outstanding and it is the most consistent place in the Quad Cities in the food service industry.
I just had an awful experience! We barely sat down and the waitress asked us for our drink order. Under pressure we ordered but after actually sitting down and viewing the menu I found more drink options. I tried to change my order but it was too late. The food I ordered was burnt and tasted like old grease. Our server never came back to check on us so I wasn’t able to get my food re-made. We were seated for 30 minutes and our server never came back after she brought our drinks. Watch her take several bottles of ketchup off the table and take them to the kitchen to fill them, even filled the bottle from the table in front of ours. There was a total of of 5 tables in the restaurant.
worst service I've ever experienced. Bartender was fabulous and attentive. Appetizers delivered quick upon order but main order was over an hour. When I asked about it, they couldn't tell me where it was. My first and last visit here. We left unhappy. never going back again......
Decuded to try this place a year later and just wanted some fries with cheese. Fries were $3.24 - seasoned were $3.74. I was charged $9.09 for their appetizer that they just skipped the bacon, chives, and sauce. Bartender had a junk night from their angry/bitter attitude so I wasn't about to argue and make her regret giving terrible customer service. Never again will I ever step foot in this dumpster of an establishment.
Beware of the wings! My husband got sick last night right after we left the establishment. I no sooner got across the I 74 bridge and had to pull over so he could throw up......4 times! We told a friend of ours who said he knows someone who works there and that they have a lot of bad habits there, that they leave their wings out in room temperature for a whole shift and don't even ice them! Word to the establishment, supervise your kitchen and implement better food handling practices! We will never come here again!
