Established in 1992. Z-Fever is the brain child of mine. I am Doug Mitchell. When I was in college. I couldn't afford to pay people to work on my junker (a 1976 Datsun 280Z) that broke down all the time. So I used the learning skills I developed to buy books and study up on cars and how they worked. I found the automobile to be very interesting so I bought some tools and went to work figuring it out by myself. The more i learned the more I liked them. Soon, I started adding performance items, wheels, big brakes, race seats, ... read more

I am perpetually wary of endorsing or recommending businesses, as I feel that I am lending my name and reputation to someone else's work. That said, I am pleased to share that ZFever is one of the few businesses, and Doug is one of the few professionals, that I can highly recommend without reservation. Absolutely top-notch expertise, ethics, responsiveness and reliability. You will NOT be disappointed if you entrust your vehicle to ZFever.
I went in needing a lot of different repairs and Doug and his team did an outstanding job to say the least. Doug took the time to thoroughly explain all of my options going in so that I had an understanding of what was going to be done. Throughout the process, Doug stayed in touch with me often, sending me pictures and updates which is something that I greatly appreciated. And lastly, I was amazed at how quickly they completed the repairs. Although they were very busy, they had my car ready in less than 3 days. My car runs g... read more
Got my 2014 370z dyno tuned by Martin at the Fever Racing shop! First impression was awesome! You can definitely tell it is a Z, G inspired shop. Was very pleased with the work Martin did on my Z, getting another 30hp and 30tq. Overall great experience and I highly recommend!
Just go to Z Docs. Doug is very dishonest. Everything takes forever and costs way more
Avoid this place at all costs. Can't wait for this shop to be shut down ;)
Business response:
Jared we do not know who you are. You have never been here and are NOT a customer. We have been in business for over 30 years now. We aren't going anywhere! 99.% of our "real" customers love us and would highly recommend us.
Incredible!!!! I can spend hours watching the transformations on some of these cars that come out of this shop and all i can say is AMAZING! They can fabricate parts out of materials then weld them together to fit and work better than original parts...then have them perfectly powdercoated to match your color scheme!!! If they can't get it, they'll make it!!! i used to go to Zdoc...always this or that, but every time i do business with Fever racing I'm so jacked with the performance. This guy has been in business for over 25 ... read more
I used to live in Tampa and would always reach out to Z-Fever when I needed repairs and performance work. Doug is extremely knowledgeable and always generous with his time. They have done all the work to my R33 Skyline GTR that is making over 600whp! I trust these guys completely!!!! I still get them to help me with parts even though I live in VA. and on a side note.... have you ever seen the awesome cars at there shop? They have some of the coolest Nissan's I have ever seen. Great place to go hang out if you are a car guy l... read more
The guys are doing a great job on my 1970 Datsun 1600. Can't wait to get my car back and on the road now that cold weather is here .
Look at the picture below on 09/19/2015 the black 350z. I have also had my own experience when Martin and one of the techs explained to me that to take the uprev license off my 350z and transfer it to my 370z would cost me nothing because I am not getting a tune and I allready own the license. Doug after they transferred the license refused to release my ecu until I payed $110.0 for a programming fee even though I was informed it was free because no service was performed.
Business response:
And, we only charge you one hour of labor which is $95 plus tax
