We traded a condo timeshare for points with Festiva Adventure Club when we were at Murrells Inlet, SC in 2015. We were told about all the improved benefits and ease of reservations with having many home resorts and a sailing vacation. Also, biannual fees are great too. Not so much. We have been able to schedule successfully one vacation this December using points. I just tried to schedule a vacation next December, but apparently you can only use your points during one year. Strongly discourage anyone from buying a timeshare thru Festiva. You will find yourself in a situation where you can never use your points. There is hardly anything available, even if you try to book months in advance. They also provide an option of having the RTX exchange membership and you can't get available accommodations that way either. They must be overselling and cannot accommodate. Was pressured to buy a time share with festival while visiting in the Bahamas, was told a lot of stuff about how easy to use the point system, not so, was told we would pay a certain amount for out points, has never been that amount yet, befor we maid our first payment they added a special accessment, now they have a permanent accessment added on top of the maintenance fee but they upped the fees over 11% , was told all the resorts were 5 star resorts, no so

We went to a 90 minute marketing meeting and were scammed into buying into a time share with Festiva. They were giving us a free trip for making a purchase. They were giving us extra points to go with our purchase. They had properties all over the US. They clapped and hooped and hollered when we bought in. Duped into signing! It felt like we were hostages negotiating our release once we were on the inside of this place! They keep showing you plans as you keep refusing! Until alas! They got you stuck! Then you only have 3 days while you might still be on vacation to cancel this plan! By then you realize Oh no! What in the world have I signed up for! By then it's too late!

Similar to other reviews, Festiva and ************** should be SHUT DOWN! The two are affiliated as ************** drives business to Festiva. It is all a bait-and-switch concept with false marketing!!!!! Through ************** we were promised certain accommodations in Branson, MO and when we showed up to Festiva, they said the hotel we agreed to was sold out.
