First experience with a Timeshare company and I would highly recommend that anyone do their research on ANY Timeshare company! Festiva Adventure Club should be shut down and everyone arrested for committing Grand Larceny!!!! The sales rep was a high pressure, dishonest scam artist that preyed on the heart strings of my wife and I and the recent death of our son. Festiva is deeply embroiled in manipulating owners at South Cape Resort in Mashpee, MA. Their goal is to manipulate and force owners to vote to get out of their contract so the town can purchase the units, tear them down and build additional affordable housing next to the units already under construction abutting the complex. Festiva Resorts flat out lied to us. The ONLY reason we agreed to purchase their timeshare was because we were promised they had a buyback program if we did not like the timeshare purchase. They promised and reassured us that we could opt out at any time. When we tried to utilize the buyback program, because we did NOT like the timeshare, they made it impossible to speak with a customer service representative. Getting involved with Festiva Resorts was the worst decision regarding property we ever made! Owning this timeshare property is not a viable option. It’s definitely a financial burden that will be regretted for the life of the timeshare ownership. Contacts this company and told them I needed to cancel because I could not afford it. They said "Ok, send us $9000 and we'll let you out". No empathy. No understanding. Can't relate to their clientele. Greed consumes them.

I've had my timeshare for over 10yrs and never used its, not once. It's always booked. Now they are tell me that if I don't pay my maintenance fees my account will go into default and I will no longer have access to my time share. Over 10 yrs, upwards of $20K just gone because I couldn't pay a lil less than $1,700 in fees. This is unfair and a horrible way of handling business. How is this even legal!!

If you plan on needing this company for ANYTHING other than taking your money after you buy the timeshare then I would think twice about buying. They don't communicate or answer phone calls or letters. They only care about their money. Ask yourself: Why won't they address my complaints in over a month but they are consistently accepting our payments. They are crooked.

My wife and I were manipulated by Festiva salespeople to upgrade our timeshare with them over and over,to get to some "magical"level owner-level,where we would finally have access to services and properties we were promised years before.We we're tricked out of thousands of dollars and lied to about "low" maintenance fees that have gone from $950 to over $2800!
