Festiva Resorts has not lived up to their claims at all. It is unfortunate because they presented themselves as a "Christian" business, based on strong morals and honesty. I bought my timeshare in Myrtle Beach in 2010. It was presented as an investment that I would be able to use whenever I wanted and could even use in various places around the country. Through our ongoing communication with Festiva, we were advised to submit a hardship through a link. We did so on 1/26/2021. We have heard nothing back. It has been well over a month. There is a constant issue with Festiva, they answer but not in any way that is substantial. We are no better today than when we requested that we be let out of the timeshare ownership nearly a year ago. We previously owned with a different company that was supposedly bought out by Festiva. When we arrived, they asked us to attend a meeting so that we could learn about the changes. We never should have accepted their gift offer! We were there much longer than what was promised. We agreed to make a purchase because we believed that this would allow us to travel the world at a fraction of the cost. This has turned out to be untrue. The worst decision I ever made! I purchased this time share in 2012 in Charleston, I was sold after seeing the property and the location in this beautiful city. Since our purchase in 2012 I have been able to use this time share 3 times. Never in Charleston, even though I have tried to schedule it a year in advance. One time I used my time share at a resort in the NC mountains. I was happy I didn't choose a destination that I needed to fly to, because that would have been even more disappointing. We purchased our timeshare at Ellington before they were even finished building. Initially it was very nice, but as the years have gone by, it had declined terribly. Despite the $1300.00 we pay yearly, the place is very poorly maintained and this year has been the worst. Festiva owner services is unwilling to do anything to make up for the terrible stay we are having this year, other than to switch us to a different room. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! We bought a Peppertree Timeshare about 20 years ago, which enentually turned into Festiva. We originally had a set week every year, until Festiva came along about 15+/- years ago and talked us into paying more (duh), to convert our week into points. The points worked fine for a few years, then started getting more dificult to find available places. The last several years have been horible, anytime we can find anything available its always a DUMP when we get there. Maintenance fees have continually went up... read more

I was suckered into the great sales promotion and bought a timeshare with these people. We were never able to use it and had a horrible time getting rid of them . I finally hired an exit team and they utilized a law firm to get rid of them. This all of course cost me money. Run as fast as you can from the Festiva scam. I would not even give them one star but BBB requires it.

They only got one star as you can't go lower. Dishonest from the start, impossible to work with. A true scam. Beware! If you don't believe me....I will sell you our 6000 that we paid $12,000+ for for $2,000.

I wish zero we're an option, or negative... They talked it up, promise reasonable things but don't deliver. We purchased xx points, which We were then supposed to use to trade in for vacation time. We were able to do that for the first year or two. But then it got too many points for the same thing. Now we can't even book anything online anymore. terrible company wish I could get my money back but this is the next best thing by telling people how terrible it is
