I’ve been going there for years. Well over a decade. Perhaps, two decades. The food is good, the company good, the owner is great. Service is fine. Music is good. Not much else to say. It’s sort of the default for Philadelphia fun.
Our first trip to Philly proper (have sent a lot of time in Bucks County and surrounding areas), and we were staying at the Alexander Inn, so we wanted a place nearby to eat. Had aimed for another place and ended up here. Way better ambiance and the food was great. Our waitress was very helpful in steering us to a wonderful breakfast place, too. Stopped in for lunch, and the food was fantastic. was early still so quite quiet, but you could hear a piano upstairs in the process of being tuned. I would love to stop in here sometime when things are really rolling. Very nice server at the bar.
We usually go on Sunday’s to see John Byrne, but yesterday Vince Schneider filled in . Both are great entertainers and can’t wait to see both again. Food was outstanding as usual. Bartenders and waitstaff are the best!
