We found a chipmunk in our yard. Our dogs chased her and injured her. We took her to Fellow Mortals. Very caring people! They told us what injuries she has and we were informed that she is a Mom. We will be keeping an eye out for her babies. Great place to take injured wild life and great, caring staff!!

Today I found a baby (maybe a day or two old) bird that had fallen out of his nest. He was hurt and clearly needed help. The mom pushed him out so placing him back in wasn't an option. I called fellow mortals and they returned my call quickly. They were very understanding and told me to bring in the bird. I left work and upon my arrival I was shocked at how nice and attentive the staff were. They took the bird back with them and started caring for it. We found baby ducks in our yard with no sign of parents anywhere, even after we moved into the house and watched for a few minutes. After some searching, we found the Fellow Mortals website, called and took them in. They told us the ducklets were very dehydrated and may not have lasted much longer on their own. Happily, we received word later that all came through and were ultimately released. God bless them for the extraordinary, caring work they do.

We had 2 baby squirrels we took in last Friday that were abandoned by momma in Janesville after calling the DNR that didn't help and calling them they were able to help and took these little guys in for us they just looked like they needed help cause they were breathing heavy I'm glad fellow mortals took them in so they could get help they need for we feared they wouldn't make it through the night and hopefully are doing a lot better
