Not what I was expecting – I had heard so many rave reviews of this place that I couldn't wait to try it. Boy was I disappointed. First of all they only serve beer and wine. For some reason I thought they had a full bar. The menu selections were very limited. My friend told me to get the burger, which was pretty disappointing. They were fanatical about not changing anything on the burger. I just asked for no onions and they refused. There are plenty of other great places to spend your money. Go there instead.

That IS a tasty burger – We've lived in the area for a while, and had never been. Decided to go for our first time the other night. Contrary to what I had heard, the bartenders were very helpful. They helped make our experience better. In addition, the cramped accomodations force you to mix it up with people - which is great, reminded me of some old English bar in the UK. The burger was very good, as were the fries and the bartenders recommendation of beers. However, 2 burgers, 2 pints and a large fry cost $47 w/tip. Not to ... read more

Let's be honest – The first time I had the burger here I thought it was ok. The fries and my beer made it better. The second and third time I didn't enjoy it. Basically all the flavor of the burger comes from the caramelized onions. The patty is bland and bready and the bread itself is less than fresh. The onions are so sweet that the burger has lost its appeal to me. If I want sweet I will get a dessert or a candy bar. I prefer my burgers meatier and tastier. Also, the fact that I can't choose not to have cheese on it is ab... read more

whattaburger – Yeah it's crowded but you gotta tough it out and make it work for you. Great selection of beers and tastiest hamburger sandwich I've had in a long time. Great neighborhood, cute chicks....what's not to like?

Don't try it alone – Like your first acid trip, this place is best experienced with a Guru, ie, someone who knows the ropes in this 200 square foot box. Otherwise it could get very frustrating. I love turning friends on to this place. The must-haves are: the burger, the ribs, sweet potato fries and OF COURSE the beer (pliney the elder). I've tried other foods and specials and have never been disappointed. Very consistent. I do think their odd system of ordering and the wall-to-wall crowd may take some of the fun out of it fo... read more

Definitely good, but very crowded with the yuppie white crowd and overhyped. – Been waiting to come here due to all the buzz surrounding this place. I went there this past Wednesday with some coworkers for happy hour. By the time I got there about 6:30 the place was packed, with many people standing in the middle between the row of tables. Luckily my coworkers had gotten a table, but with a buncha guys, I was literally rubbing elbows with the anorexic Olsen twin wannabe at the next table. Interesting thing is that you go to ... read more

Come hungry, leave happy. – hands down the best burger i've had. if my next vists are as good as my first, i will make a blasphemous statement and say that i think it's better than a philly cheesesteak ( i am from philly). it is crowded for sure, but it is worth the wait. they have a great beer selection too!

Good scene, but seating is an issue. – I've been here a couple times just for drinks, but finally sat down for dinner last night. I had the beet salad...delicious! My husband had the burger and loved it as well. Everyone was really friendly, but it was kind of a bummer to have to share a tiny space at the end of the bar to eat our meal. Overall, though, a good experience.

Great burger and fries! – I went to F.O. last weekend after hearing about it from other friends. Its a cool little place, but seating can be difficult. We got lucky and had a group leave just as we got in, but it can be uncomfortable if there are a lot of people waiting and watching you finish your food with the hopes that they can take your table. Tried the burger and sweet potato fries (served in a cute tiny shopping cart), and those were both really good. Burger was juicy and the bread was toasted perfectly. Also had a th... read more
