If the kids are bored with the video games and are yearning for something far from the ordinary, travel 35 minutes north of Branson to this spectacular underground chamber. Discovered in 1862 by a farmer's dog, these huge caverns are filled with stalactites and stalagmites. All tours take place on a guided jeep-pulled tram in order to preserve the natural features and each tour lasts about an hour. The underground temperature remains at or near 60 degrees, so dress appropriately.

Beautiful place with an interesting history.
Loved the tour, nice & cool, beautiful place. Liked the hiking trail. Loved our tour guide Sue she explained everything & made it interesting. Thanks.
Fantastic Caverns... Why do you need so many billboards?!... There's at least one for every one of the 126 miles it's taking me to get from KC to Springfield. Maybe thin them out, just a thought.
If our guide had focused more on the science and less on tall tail explanations it would have been a better learning experience. Overall, we had a great time!
Fascinating. Well worthy a visit.
Best place for a school field trip. Guides are very knowledgeable and makes the tour a lot of fun for students and teachers!!
