If the kids are bored with the video games and are yearning for something far from the ordinary, travel 35 minutes north of Branson to this spectacular underground chamber. Discovered in 1862 by a farmer's dog, these huge caverns are filled with stalactites and stalagmites. All tours take place on a guided jeep-pulled tram in order to preserve the natural features and each tour lasts about an hour. The underground temperature remains at or near 60 degrees, so dress appropriately.

This was well worth the trip. We really enjoyed it and our tour guide was great!
Had a great time re-visiting after about 20 years. Truly enjoyed our guide Dustin and was pleased that the dogs got to go on tour with us. Every staff person we met were kind and gracious. A must see when in Springfield.
We had a fantastic time here. Our guide was very knowledgable and friendly. Beautiful place.
The caverns were most enjoyable, really enjoyed the history-great addition to this section of our Route 66 Tour. We enjoyed driving rather than walking and the fact they let us take our dogs in the jeep on the tour and appreciated the knowledgeable guide- learned some very interesting facts! Most fascinating of all was the fact that in that day and age it was 12 women who answered the ad to volunteer to climb in the wee opening and begin the exploration and to see their signatures,
The family and I enjoyed this very much. It was worth the money to us.
Loved my visit, the guide was very informed on both the cave itself and the science behind it. I do not remember his name but he not only answered questions but made sure we were satisfied before moving on.
Great place. Beautiful and the tour guide was wonderful!
We had a great time with our 3 and 5 year old. They both really enjoyed it and took a ton of pictures with our phones. We also walked down to the spring which was a short walk with beautiful scenery. Gift shop prices were very reasonable. This is a neat experience and our tour guide did a great job.
Great family run place. Entertaning and educational
