The blues and jazz are as hot and sweet as the tangy ribs served up by Famous Dave's. Local blues bands are featured almost daily and national acts can be found on stage several nights a month. The sound of the EL train going over combined with the decor of exposed brick and signs depicting famous Chicago streets make you feel as if you are in one of the Windy City's famous clubs. The pork and beef ribs slathered with Dave's award-winning sauce are messy but a joy to devour by the plateful. Can't get enough? Take home a buck... read more

Famous Daves in Uptown FTW!!! Some of the best BBQ you can get your grub on anywhere!
This place was founded on Blues and BBQ and now some talking head who has a hard on against live music comes in and imposes his single will on an entire city. We DON'T need another sports bar! I guarantee if this is done you will lose a lot of customers. That is the only live venue in Uptown and Chino Latino you will never be.
I had been to Famous Dave's perhaps a dozen times in the 25+ years I've lived in the Minneapolis area, but my friends and I have been 2x that in the last year since we started attending the Sunday night blues jam. Dinner, a beer or two, and live music. The food wasn't always the best, but the music couldn't be beat. Now I have to admit to myself that truthfully the only reason I was there was because of the live music. With the demise of events like the Sunday blues jam I will no longer be going to Famous Dave's. It's too ba... read more
You’re throwing away an Uptown Institution. The Sunday Night Open Mic Blues Jam with Moses Oakland is (or was) one of the best open mic’s in the Twin Cities. Countless musicians have cut their teeth on that stage, on that night, in that jam. You’ve done more than give a band it’s walking papers, you’ve cut a Community Outreach Program. And created some bad PR to boot. Good luck replacing the Sunday night audience. The jammers, dancers, and fans of good music are headed wherever the band makes it’s new home. There’s a sign ou... read more
Why are you getting rid of the blues jam at your restaurant? This is unacceptable. The Blues jam has done a lot for upcoming and professional musicians. For a lot of us, this was how we became better players. This was where we got our start. On top of that we got to play groovey music that made everyone dance. How can you limit yourselves to only 2 days a week for live music? This will turn a lot of customers away. Your establishment is one of the few places that exists anymore where players from all different backgrounds ca... read more
I always enjoyed the Open Jam with Moses Oakland on Sunday nights, it's not going to be same place at all without that Jam. That's how I'd explain my rating ...
Sad that the jam that led me to spend lots of money on your BBQ is gone, probably 90% of the times I've gone to any one of your stores was for the Sunday evening jam. Love the brisket, loved the music.
