7/28/09 5:30pm, 4 adults; Cheektowaga NY – After a warm greeting and nearly 5 minutes of hype and enthusiasm from the hostess about the restaurant background and the great food experience we were about to have – our “reality” rating is a very disappointing 1 out of 5 stars. Entrees: Georgia Chopped Pork, Rib Tips, and two Regular Ribs “4-bone” dinners. I've had better-MUCH better. – After hearing people rave about this place and it's "Texas Style BBQ" I tried it. Originating from Texas, I didn't taste anything that resembled Texas style BBQ. It was OK but there are better places here. Nothing comes close to Texas BBQ.
Another Chain Restaurant I am not Happy. – Come on guys make some good bbq. I had the baby back ribs and they were real fatty and had a funny taste to them. Plus I could not pull them apart with my hands. The good news is I made my friend pay for the meal. It was his idea to go there and his meal was lacking too. Frank

This place is awesome! – This place is so much fun! The staff has such a good time and makes this a really fun place to eat. Service is always great and they have the best ribs I have ever eaten. I am no BBQ fanatic, but this place has me hooked.
awesome ribs! – went here with a friend and my cousin and it was great. relaxed environment, good outgoing service, and the variety of sauces were fun to try. we ordered a huge platter filled with pretty much everything. the ribs were the best. the pulled pork was too salty, and the corn wasnt seasoned. but the rest was great. cornbread, which isnt really my most favorite food, was really good. moist. also had a side of rib tips... these were FULL of meat. awesome. after lunch went to the car.... forgot my card on the table.... read more

Not Just Another BBQ Joint! – I ended up in the Stapleton area and the party I was with asked me to pick a place to eat. I spotted Famous Dave's and suggested we try it. Typical ambiance of a BBQ pit type place, relaxed environment. My iced tea glass was huge and the tea was fresh! They had a choice of 6 BBQ sauces that the waitress spelled out for us on a plate (they spell BAR B Q in the different sauces for you to dip in. If you are not in Kansas City, eat at Dave's! – I grew up in and near Kansas City. I have a pretty good idea of what great tomato - based BBQ sauce should taste like. Dave's is the best North of Kansas City. The meat is cooked pretty well, too. Although, I would suggest the brisket or pulled pork if you are a die hard KC ribs fan and want that meat to fall right off the bone. Sorry Dave, but your ribs are not cooked THAT great. However if you are have a craving for BBQ ribs in Minnesota, Dave's is the best you will find.
