Above-Average BBQ – The BBQ is Above-Average which is really good for Colorado. This place is usually packed with people for good reason but I usually get the food to go. You can even call ahead to pick it up.
Dissapointing – I've tried many BBQ restraunts around the Twin Cities and for some reason I keep finding myself coming back here. Not because its good but because I keep telling myself that the next time it'll finally satisfy me. But every time I do I come out dissapointed. I don't get where all the positive reviews come from! A Legend in Their Own Mind? – Having lived in the South for 9 years, we're always on the lookout for good BBQ in the Vancouver/Portland area. My in-laws recommended Famous Dave's after visiting their Everett, WA location. I still cannot believe we drove to Tualatin from Vancouver specifically for less than mediocre BBQ. The tastiest in portland so far... – We've been here on 4 occasions now, and will be coming back often. I have found the menu to be hit or miss as far as the ribs (not falling off the bone). That said, I have found my perfect meal of to die for BBQ pulled pork and Buffalo wings (some of the best I've had) the sides are all quite good as well. Then if you still have room, they have a killer bread pudding to finish you off!
The food is okay but do not work here! – For being a chain this food is pretty good all the way around. However if you are thinking about working here DONT DO IT. Was okay for a chain BBQ place – I've been around a number of places and had BBQ at some darn good restaurants and have a good idea of what I like (keep this in mind). I does not touch Brooks BBQ in Oneonta NY, but is pretty good for the meal deal I got to trial.
