Disappointed by Dave's – My wife and I visited the Layton location for a relaxing evening prior to seeing a movie. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, salads and entrees. The problem was is that they brought all of our food out at the same time. By the time we got to our entrees they were cold. Also, the BBQ pork was dry and hard. Okay, but not the best – Stopped in today for my fiancee's B-day. We are both BBQ hounds, so we decided to give Dave's a go around. We ordered the Feast for two which consisted of 3-4 different meats, sides...etc, perfect for us. 5 different kinds of sauces for your meats which i thought was nice, ranging from sweet to hot. HEAD STRAIGHT TO FAMOUS DAVES – What a refreshing and delicious experience. I honestly don't know how I missed coming to Famous Dave's in the past. I am new to the area, but I see they are all over town. I have to give them high marks for the great food and really great service. WHEN NOTHING ELSE WILL DO! – They have earned the right to be called famous that's for sure. And, lots of people think this is a big chain, but its really a few exceptional restaurants under the same owner which makes its consistently above average and convenient when only the best BBQ will do. I've eaten at their Wilmington Restaurant, and in Springfield, and I had them deliver a lunch to my office in Philadelphia last month. Incredibly good food and service every time.

GIVE ME MORE! – I can not get enough of this place. The people are awesome, the food is 2nd to none, and I could eat my way through about 100 ribs. All the sides are awesome, especially the coleslaw and muffins. I love FAMOUS DAVE'S night out!

LOVE NOT LIKE! – I wish I was sitting down eating Famous Dave's BBQ instead of just writing a review for them. However, we had dinner there last night and I just had to share our experience with other BBQ lovers. I live for BBQ and I am quickly becoming the biggest Famous Daves fan in Philadelphia. I've had good BBQ at some of the other places in town, but the menu here is bigger and better, as are the portions and quality.

Finger lickin' good – The family and I come here when we're shopping at the mall and in the mood for BBQ. The service has been good, as is the food. The kids love the baby back ribs and the mess that comes with it. The negatives are the atmosphere and the seats in the booths. I find the seats uncomfortable and awkward to sit in. I like the place overall and will continue to visit when we're in the mood for BBQ.

Dave's gets meats right but sides blow! – Famous Dave's has the smoked pork down and ribs down like a great BBQ in the south. The brisket is usually a little dry and the sides mot so great. Goodwood has better sides but Dave's has better meats. Service is always hit and miss at Dave's.
