Dr. Ludwig gave a shot of Lidocaine to a 7 yo girl and immediately cut into a boil without waiting for the medication to take effect. When I told him to stop, that the medication needed time to work, he said that she couldn't feel anything and proceeded to cut, then squeeze, the infected area. All of this occurring while the child was screaming and begging for him to stop. 5 minutes after we left this office, the area was completely numb, as it should have been before he proceeded to cut into her skin.
