I am going home, yes I begged to go. I want to say the University of Minnesota Hospital took really good care of me. As a person of color it felt like everyone cared. I was a patient there back in October of 2017. I was rushed there from another hospital to be put on the ECMO (not sure on spelling) life support machine and put in a medical coma to get me stable. It took lots of testing and about 24-48 hours to finally figure out I had Legionnaires. The Dr's I seen were AMAZING but the nurses I had!!! I can't say enough kind words about them. I went there to be a living kidney donor, and the coordinators and surgeons were all amazing!
Hands down I’ve had the best care of all the times I’ve been admitted. The care teams on all the floors are top notch. I’m happy to put my life in their hands.
