The Behavioral Health department is terrible. The staff have poor communication. My psychiatrist, Doctor Arul, is cold, rude, and insults me. She is not helpful and doesnt listen to anything I tell her. I strongly advise against having Dr. Arul as your psychiatrist. I see her for medication check ups and she doesnt even ask me about how the medication is working or my symptoms or anything about it. They tried to kill me 3 times with heart attacks. They will place you in a observation room to monitor you slowly dieying from a heart attack. It happened to me two times They will not get a third try to kill me. I now have proper care with Allegheny health network.

I was in short stay on July 9th when I was given a IV I ask for the placement to be in a different place. The Guy said my wishes and opinion meant nothing to him . He was a professional and he will do what he wants too. The guy was a total ass and treated me with disrespect, after I sent in a complaint I received a letter I would get an answer in 45 days. If u don’t wanna be treated like crap and left crying in pain, then by all means avoid this hospital. If I was driving past the hospital and had a heart attack, I would go somewhere else. They managed to turn a routine C-section with a Health baby into a nightmare. They are beyond rude, lie to you and talk down to you. My oldest was born at Forbes and had to be life flighted (collapsed lung and heart defect) to West Penn. Was admitted with pneumonia and needed emergency surgery. Thankful I lived, but ended up getting MRSA. I was sent home still VERY ILL from the MRSA. Went back multiple times to the ER with massive open sores from the MRSA... and sent home... Repeatedly... with NO help. My face...looked like a burn victims. I was FINALLY admitted, ONLY because I started to tell the other people (waiting to be treated in ER) about the lack of concern or care. All the waiting room folks had to do was look at me. If I could give 0 stars I would! This is the absolute worst place you could ever take anyone, especially a loved one! If you want your loved ones life to be at risk and put on the line because doctors refuse to think outside of the box or swallow their pride then take them here! Honestly the WORST health system ever. To be a doctor here you have to be an egotistical, shallow minded jack off.
