Good food- but service left a lot to be desired. We were rushed during our meal even though the restaurant was not close to full The staff stood by our table loudly talking and making it clear that they were not concerned about our experience. Wine list is mediocre with much less selection than when we had previously dined here. We have always thought of this as a great restaurant in Tuscaloosa, but will not be back after this experience. After living in Tuscaloosa most of my life this was our first visit to Evangeline's. The food and service was excellent and the atmosphere was very special!! My husband had a filet mignon and I had shrimp and crawfish pasta, both were amazing!! We both had a couple drinks each, appetizers, main courses and even desert and price was under $100, which for the amount and quality of food you got I thought was fantastic! Entrées were very reasonably priced ! We took 2 boxes home! We will be back!
