About this business

One of Tom Douglas' three booming restaurants, the other two being Dahlia Lounge and Palace Kitchen, this fashionable restaurant called Etta's Seafood is a popular place to relax after strolling through Pike Place Market. Dark wood, brightly colored walls and large windows accent the space offering a magnificent view of the Elliot Bay and is excellent for people watching. Good rep. well-deserved – Brought visiting parents for lunch and everyone enjoyed it. We were looking for authentic Northwestern fare; heavy on seafood, light on tourist. Parents feasted on perfectly-fried Halibut; I had the delicious crab cakes, they were expertly fried and intact with large, juicy pieces of crabmeat; and hubby enjoyed spicy peanut noodles with lemongrass chicken (chicken cooked perfectly, tender and juicy). Needless to say, no one left hungry. Nice people-watching / window views of the Market and water. Ov... read more

Sensational!! – We went to Etta's last night to check out their 25 for $25 offer running this month. We've done the similar promotion with other restaurants, but Etta's blew them out of the water with the food, service, and value. For $25 you get a choice of appetizer, entree, and dessert - and full sized portions of all three (as opposed to other restaurants running this promotion). The calamari was tender and full of flavor. My black cod was innovatively prepared and the nappa cabbage accompianment was so tasty I was tempt... read more

Etta's didn't live up to it's reputation – After hearing rave reviews of Etta's, we were excited to give it a try. We ordered the specials, lobster and yellow tail, along with a appetizers, soup and salad. Crispy Shrim Eggrolls were delicious. The Clam Chowder was the best ever. The Spinach salad with grapes and cashews was interesting, but the entrees/specials left something to be desired. The waitress was a bit flighty, and service was very slow. We were on our way to a show, so our 6pm reservations (Saturday night) got us... read more

great seattle restaurant – The spice rubbed salmon was delicious! The variety of bread was a nice change from the norm.

Bloody Good Brunch – The brunch menu offers a variety of options, and everything my friends and I ordered, we enjoyed. The Bloody Marys were the BEST. Wait staff was relatively friendly and helpful.

So Fun! – We brought the whole family and everyone loved their food. The service was outstanding. The best part was the salmon with corn bread pudding!

Not worth much – We went to Etta's in great anticipation for Mother's Day as a treat to my mother-in-law. What a disappointment! Even though we had reservations, we still had to wait about 20 minutes. When we were finally seated, it was at least 10 minutes before we were even served water. The meal itself consisted of tiny, tiny portions. Once our meal arrived to our table, the waitress never came back to see how we were doing. We were ignored. We had to wave our hands for a check. We were totally forgotten. I will not go ba... read more

Overrated – We came for a relaxing weekend from Houston and wanted to come to a popular downtown Seattle restaurant. A couple of people recommended Etta's, so we dined there for lunch. The menu was disappointing. It was very limited and not very innovative. The oysters we had for an appetizer were "fishy". I had the Salmon Cake special - it was okay, but nothing special. You did get a lot of food for the price though. My wife had a selection from the Brunch" section, and she thought hers was okay, but nothing special. Again,... read more
