One of Tom Douglas' three booming restaurants, the other two being Dahlia Lounge and Palace Kitchen, this fashionable restaurant called Etta's Seafood is a popular place to relax after strolling through Pike Place Market. Dark wood, brightly colored walls and large windows accent the space offering a magnificent view of the Elliot Bay and is excellent for people watching. Outdoor dining is possible in the private courtyard if the weather is nice. Locals and tourists swarm here for seafood dishes such as fish-and-chips with r... read more

Wonderful menu, location, service – A great menu, something for everyone. We made reservations and were seated promptly at a window front table with a great view at sunset. We started with scallops for appetizer, these were excellent. For dinner, we went with two different preparations of Alaskan salmon. Both were excellent, but my friend's (special that night) version of smoked salmon was simply orgasmic. (and I'm a Copper River aficianado..) Service was prompt and well informed. Highly recommended.
Don't Miss Etta's! – Moved to Seattle and didn't know who Tom Douglas was. Our friend raved about him so we all decided to try Etta's. We had a fabulous meal. Crabcakes are awesome, not stuffed w/breadcrumbs but tons of sweet, fresh crab! We had salmon, ribeye and raviloi (which we all shared) - there wasn't a speck of food left on our plates. We were stuffed but split the apple dumpling! Soooo good. Have sent others there and all have been very pleased!
Hot sauce on a copper river salmon! – I decide to try their Copper River salmon with spicy chipotle sauce, even though I feared that this combination made little sense. The sauce was pretty good, but it was way to spicy for (fresh) salmon. Doing this to the Copper River salmon is a small sacrilege. Its like watching ballet with all the lights off, or listening to a classical guitar in an airplane with all engines roaring. After the first bite I washed my mouth and waited for my taste buds to get down to a more sensitive base... read more
Good everything. – Good food. Good service. Good view. Good location. Good wine. Good desserts. Good coffee. You name it, Ettas is good at it. We had my wife's birthday dinner there last night and it was outstanding down to the last detail. Anyone who reads my reviews knows I'm not easy to please, but when an experience is this roundly positive, it's hard not to be pleased. Ettas earns my reccommendation.
Excellent Lunch – What a personable waitress, and great view of the park. Etta's is a wonderful place to have lunch and "take a load off" while site seeing. The food, atmosphere, and staff all made us feel rejuvenated. A good value.
Headin' Back to Etta's! – What a great spot for a cozy brunch! Went today and had a fantastic experience. Staff was attentive but not aggressive. There's little wait for brunch, especially is you head to the bar for a mimosa or hand crafted bloody mary! Everything was fresh, not grossly overwhelming or overpriced. Nice view and a great launch for a stroll into the market. Feel better and let Etta be your hostess! (The only drawback is that there is a direct view of the Seattle Athletic Club's lobby - hard to fill up with a b... read more
Brunch to die for – If you can stand the crowds of terminally slow-walking tourists that throng the market area, nip down to Etta's for brunch. I've yet to find a menu item that doesn't delight. The majority of the serving staff do an extremely admirable job, with the occasional one being disappointing.
Fresh inventive seafood and great sides – Consistently over the years, Etta's has been serving up great, fresh seafood. In addition, they have very yummy side dishes like melt-in-your mouth chinese eggplant. We use the 'Etta's scale' when dining in Seattle. If we pay as much or more at another restaurant as we would have paid at Etta's, and the food isn't as good, then the restaurant fails the Etta's scale test.
unheralded – This place doesn't get the recognition it deserves, like Mr. Douglas' other establishments. The food is quite superb and the staff is top-notch. Plus, what a great location! Highly recommended.
