About this business

One of Tom Douglas' three booming restaurants, the other two being Dahlia Lounge and Palace Kitchen, this fashionable restaurant called Etta's Seafood is a popular place to relax after strolling through Pike Place Market. Dark wood, brightly colored walls and large windows accent the space offering a magnificent view of the Elliot Bay and is excellent for people watching. Outdoor dining is possible in the private courtyard if the weather is nice. Locals and tourists swarm here for seafood dishes such as fish-and-chips with r... read more

Great food, service and atmosphere – The atmoshpere was great, and so was the service. We went for sunday brunch and had to wait about 40 minutes, so we browsed some of the local shops for a little while. The food was good...a little bland, but nothing salt and pepper couldn't fix. Out waiter was friendly and made sure our coffee cups were always filled.

Etta's has simple ingredients with great flavors! – Etta's Seafood was recommended to us by the talented baker and staff at Le Panier, which is the best truly French bakery I have found in the U.S. So, based on the culinary caliber of the recommendation's source, my girlfriend and I were expecting great things--great NW fare in an unpretensious atmosphere with flavor and simplicity as the highlights. We actually had to call and move back our reservation by a half-hour due to a last minitue discovery that the famous mountain-... read more

Not the good experience we usually enjoy – Maybe it was an off day in the Etta's kitchen, but this was a very disappointing dining experience for these Etta's fans...Our server really wasn't around and didn't give us the friendly service that we have gotten in the past from other servers. I think we were forgotten after she initially greeted us because it was a 15 minute wait for her to come back and take our order. She made a minor mistake in the order of one of our party (they ordered over-easy, was brought scrambled --no ... read more

I could be anywhere – Sleek spot to catch crab cakes and salmon steaks. The food was tasty, but I felt like I could have been sitting in New York, Chicago or Phoenix...nothing special to make the place or the menu stand out. I recommend Etta's for an upscale business lunch, but I wanted something uniquely Seattle/the Northwest...this wasn't it.

Etta's: The Perfect Meal! – I love going to this restaurant at the end of a good day of shopping downtown. Etta's always has the perfect thing for what I feel like eating. The crab cakes are great (trust me... I've tried loads) and all the desserts are fabulous. And the view is great!!!

Best 25 for $25 deal in town – Romain salad was good, bread with real butter great, king salmon over cornbread and fresh greens the BEST, and the triple cocunut cream pie, over the top. Professional servers, always there but invisible until the right moment, cozy ambience. go there now.

Slightly Dissapointed :( – Etta's did not live up to my expectations. I have enjoyed other Tom Douglas restaurants immensely, but this one left something to be desired. I made reservations,; arrived 5 mins early and was greeted coldly. The waitress was curt, and took her time to take our order. The wine, calamari and spiced salmon (with the cornbread pudding) were excellent. The steak was fatty and over-cooked. We waited 15 minutes for our plates to be cleared. The bus-boy was more helpful than our server, and we had to orde... read more

Restaurant celebrity Tom Douglas oversees this tourist-friendly seafood destination in the Pike Place Market. – The Scene The scenic view and short walk from Pike Place Market make this a great spot for out-of-towners who want Northwest flair and flavor. A bustling interior and colorful glass lighting fixtures add a distinctive Douglas feel. Service is well-meaning, but can be distracted and harried. The Food Stick to Etta's version of the basics: flash-fried calamari with a revelatory green olive salsa, spinach salad with c... read more

Etta's You Betta! – I travel to Seattle frequently from the east coast and never miss an opportunity to dine at Etta's. The food is excellent, their signature dishes (like the Iceberg Wedge) are outstanding. You can dine on the appetizers alone, or confiqure a full course meal. I just love their manilla clams. Whenever I have to meet a busniess client for lunch or meet friend in town for supper, Etta's is at the top of my list. The location is great, Pike Place Market, view of the bay is wonderful , ambieance is casual with ... read more
