Essen Bakery is part of the regular rotation for breakfast and brunch. Everything is good, I usually have to hold back from ordering everything. The za'atar croissant sandwich is incredible but don't miss out on the bagel w/ whitefish sandwich. You're missing out if you skip this place!
small bakery packing a ton of flavor on east passyunk. super cute pink & blue exterior with friendly staff. their zaatar croissant with labneh and egg was absolutely delicious and nicely presented. I'm a huge fan of k'far so I'm happy to have this location nearby. would defintiely come back to try more traditional jewish pastires & bagels.
Just ordered here for the first time and I am amazed at how rude the cashier was. First and last time visiting here.
The Jewish apple cake is my favorite thing to bring to a party and I can see why it clapped Bobby Flay’s cheeks
It’s rare for me to enjoy an untoasted bagel but the bagels here are high quality and totally delicious untoasted. I just had a sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese, and I’ve been dreaming of it for days. Next time I’m in Philly, I will be back.
