This place was cool when I was 16 – I went to this place a lot in highschool (2-3 years ago) and it was just okay back then. Went my senior year a couple times and it just sucked. It was full of 16 year old girls, creepy old guys and fat old women. And the bouncers were needlessly angry. I needed a long shower after and not for the good reasons.
Causing problems for neighborhood businesses – Hello, I work for a security company at a large nearby business. The Escape seems to allow a lot of underage drinking near their property and tolerates this behavior. Thus, nearby businesses have to deal with these drunken teens loitering, defacing and urinating on our properties. As a security officer, this is quite frustrating and I have been forced to call the Portland Police a few times to deal with some of the more aggressive Escape patrons. The Worst Club Ever – Over the past 4 years i have attended the Escape Nightclub. 2 of those years were fine had no problems and the kids were okay and the staff was awsome. Now a days you go down there and see nothing but minors and annoying staff that don't really care for anyone there. The Escape is Amazing! =] – The Escape Night Club is an amazing dance club for all ages, I normally see a lot of people from 16 years old to 23 year old people going there so it's pretty chill. The music they play at this club is Techno and it's just so fun to dance to once you get inside, you see everyone dancing crazy to the music and everyone is really chill and fun. I got the pleasure of being there for their 5th Birthday and New years event! It was spectacular. A nice atmosphere and people of all ages. Strobe Lights Galore – I met my boyfriend at this club, and honestly, I go at least three or four times a month. It's pricy, but totally worth it. I advise not bringing you're bags in, cause you have to pay to check them in and out each time. It's open on Fridays & Saturdays from 11 PM till 4 AM. You lose you're sence of hearing, and pretty much you're sight too. I highly suggest not going High or Drunk, cause they'll kick you out. AMAZING!!! – I love The Escape! It's a great place for people who are underage to go on a Saturday night. It tends to be a little dead on Friday nights, but Saturdays it's PACKED!! I went for my first time 2 months ago and I've gone every weekend since then. The best saturday / sunday i have ever spent! – SO the Escape, was my first Gay club, i just went last night/ the day before that.... lol it was just amazing! I am 17 and have lived like in the woods, and have been trying to get to a place like that...for like 13 years! lol.
