RecommendedDined outside for dinner and ordered the 3 item platter with rice and beans. The food was very delicious, not too salted, not to saucy, it was just right. Had some “to go.” Highly recommended.

First off, I’ve been to Ernesto’s more times than I can count. The food has always been great and service has been fantastic - until today! My sister and I went today for a late lunch (around 2:30pm) and ordered two of our go to items. My sister ordered a three item (chicken Colorado flour taco, chicken Colorado quesadilla and a cheese enchilada), while I ordered the Carne Asada Tampiquena. Best Mexican food in Sac. Their plates are delicious and margaritas are on point (and big)!
So went to Ernestos tonight. 4 out of 10. Highly disappointed. Fish tacos were great. Service was horrible. Didn't gave the tequila I asked for, which was basic. Server did not listen to a single word I said. Asked for barbacoa taco with flour tortilla, came outbwurh two corn tortillas with meat with what seemed barbeque sauce. Sorry, but I make fire tacos and this looked weak. I returned it and dud not eat the cat food.. They fell off hard. I will not be going back and I've been there over 100 times. Sad but true. The food is as close to my grandma's as I can remember. Tequila selection is awesome with 1942 always being my choice. Service is wonderful. Love the warm and inviting atmosphere. Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!
