I spent an afternoon reading Bio's and researching surgeon's. Even though I live across town from the two clinic's he works out of, I chose Dr. Deal. The whole experience to date has been extremely gratifying, He is a kind, caring and articulate Gentleman. His Care Coordinator Alyssa is quick to respond with answers to my questions. The incision was stitched WELL. So far, a week out of surgery and I seem to be doing as he expected. Minnesota Valley Surgery Center and Dr. Deal-CALL THEM.
Went in for surgical procedure and Dr. Deal scheduled me within 48 hours, explained the procedure well.. The staff was very impressive, always there to answer questions or get back extremely quickly. Only 6 weeks but feeling like a new person.
Surgery was successful and Dr Deal and his staff at Burnsville Twin Cities Orthopedics were professional and very good at explaining procedures and managing expectations.
I had a snafu with a previous provider when I realized that the hospital he used was not in my network. Dr. Deal was able to get me in for a surgery consultation right away and schedule surgery within one month. That by itself was impressive, but I was more impressed by the quality of communication about the risks of surgery and what the procedure entailed. It made me happy that my other situation didn't work out because I ended up with a much better doctor in Dr. Deal. I had surgery for remova

Dr Deal was the best thing that happened to me, he explained everything well and didn't hide anything he told me it would take a good year to feel good again and it was to the day! The only experience I still have is numbness and cramp feeling in my right foot but I can live with it. Dr Deal's nurse at his office was also great to work with.Thanks again and I have to say I am back to a regular 55yo lifestyle. Kris Hunt
Dr. Eric Deal is a wonderful Doctor he cares about the patients he sees and has always been able to answer any questions that I may have. Dr. Deal performed a back fusion on me and I have had awesome results. I would highly recommend him to anyone dealing with spine issues.
3 Month out of l4/l5 discectomy still having pain in left leg. Dr Deal states that the work preformed on L4/L5 was a success (it was) Back pain gone. But cannot find answer on why pain in not leaving leg. As he counts the L4/L5 a success he dismissed all other pain issues, and me. he was done. And said good luck with the other issues. And washed his hands of it.
