With a gorgeous view of the Oakland Bay Bridge, the interior of Epic Roasthouse is a stunning accomplishment by famed restaurant entrepreneur Pat Kuleto. There are large windows, rich fabrics, and a large fireplace making the restaurant warm and inviting. A very busy place, if you don't have reservations the wait can be quite long. Luckily there is a full bar upstairs at which you can wait and have a selection of fine wines or cocktails. For dinner try the A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Steak or the Tuscan Style Porterhouse Steak.

Had an amazing dinner with my family. Rib eye was cooked perfectly. My wife's Prime Rib was one of the best she has ever had. Collard greens, fries, mac and cheese and bread were aall amazing. Wine choices by the glass were excellent. Service was very good, view amazing. Only weakness was the dessert. 3 scoops of ice cream were tiny - but it was a nitpick in an otherwise fabulous evening.
Steak was delicious. Pinot was the best. And every side was tasty.
One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had in 23 years living in the Bay Area. And at those prices it should have been one of the best. Sending steaks back 3 times because they were not prepared as requested, at a steakhouse called Epic, is unacceptable. I felt like I was completely ripped off over a beautiful view of the City. I'll never be back and I will never recommend this place to anyone. And they still charged us for the steaks, despite the debacle. Epic? I think not.
