Valentines day meal. This was the first time I left a Michelin star restaurant upset about the value of the offering. The food was well executed, but lackluster in terms of number of courses/overall experience. The wine pairing was well executed, but very stingy. It was maybe a total of 8oz over 6? courses. We left 100% sober, and no one even asked if we wanted a coffee or cocktail for ~15 minutes after our meal ended, at which time I had to ask a random staff member for a menu, which offered a few $30+ cocktails. Update: First time coming back to Enigma after the chef change. New team is young and eager to please. Had their 4 course tasting menu. Also added the lobster dish from à la carte. Menu and dishes can be found in my pictures. Overall I think this is an ok 1 star perhaps Michelin recommended restaurant. While the dishes were plated beautifully and the concepts were solid. I have always wanted to dine at Enigma over the years and for some reason something always came up. I can honestly say we were definitely missing out. Ambience: We had a great evening at the counter. The service was prompt and friendly. The sous chef was great to talk to. We found out that Enigma is now led by a new executive chef and we had a chance to meet Chef Sam briefly when he brought out one of the courses. Very friendly and humble with solid head chef vibes. Enigma Restaurant — Vendor Advisory I completed seasonal urn planting for Enigma Restaurant and they have ignored every outstanding invoice. After speaking with others, this appears to be a recurring issue. The gap between their polished Michelin‑star public image and how they treat vendors behind the scenes is staggering.
