We have a great Hiking Family time. Astonishing art work creativity of our mother earth did it through the Magma Intrusión process, when Texas was an Ocean. We enjoyed the Majestic Panoramic Beauty view, from the Dome of this huge pink Granite Rock. " A Sacred & Cosmic place for the First Communities " We'll back again!
Always fun! Not recommended for small children though... the grade is a little steep.
Short, strenuous, unhill hike worth the effort for the view that you can complete within 2 hours (up, relax, explore, down). I say strenuous since I was with my 60 yo mother who is a low-moderate exerciser - we stopped to rest a few times, as did others on that point of the health spectrum. We got there at 8 am (gate open on - Sat. of Mother's Day weekend) and it was not too busy (yet) which was perfect since I like peace and quiet nature expeditions.
