A wonderful place. I live among great mountains and seas but this place remains special.
Camping was such a neat experience! The wildlife was active and the weather (even though it stormed) was perfect. Made many new memories that will last forever. The camping area was very well kept up and the bathrooms/showers were clean. Always a wonderful time in the Texas hill country!
I wish we lived closer to this amazing place. I love coming here, awesome place to get away from the grind. We felt refreshed and accomplished after our climb. Beautiful views...not too bad of a hike, but definitely a wake up call if you haven't worked out in a while. We'll be back soon.

What a eerily magnificent place! I do not believe that there is anything quite like it in the state. It, and its neighbor, rise like some sort of alien terrain that has been imposed upon the limestone-boned Hill Country. The hike up to the summit was not that hard and the views from up top are awe inspiring. Do not miss the little pocket ecosystems that dot the area. The park is clean and well-maintained and there is a friendly vendor selling Gatorade and snow cones once you are down from the top. A must see piece of Texas!
Be early and by early I mean when the park opens. They only allow limited numbers in . If you dont make it then the first 200 get a spot when the park opens again at 2pm. We were there at 930am and didn't make it but made the 2pm time. Wonderful park, great hikes for all ages. Highly recommend
