Well worth the wait and lines. First time there with my wife and daughters and we all enjoyed it. Spectacular views.
A tough climb but rewarding once you get to the top. If you are going in the summer months make sure to pack lots of sunscreen because there is little to no shade on the actual rock. The park has several different trails you can take and there is also a lake to the left of the rock that the loop trail will take you to. My group was able to rental a pavilion for $40 for a few hours and have it all to ourselves. It was extremely convenient with it being right next to several trails. It's getting a 5 for being one of the most gorgeous places I have ever visited. I guess on weekends it gets busy, but late on a Tuesday afternoon, there was hardly anyone there. The frustrating part was that we didn't realize there is an entrance fee, and if you show up after 4:30, there is no one there to take your payment, so cash is required.
