It is a nice older well maintained Hotel. The rooms are large for a beach area. Downtown Resturants are walking distance. The staff are very nice and deliver exceptional service. Front desk staff were A plus.
I visit California every 90 days and have stayed at many different hotels. The Empress hotel is by far my favorite! The staff is so professional and helpful with everything. Especially Ryan. He told us where to eat, good ideas on parking, and things to do in the area by foot. The room was clean and the housekeepers were consistent and made sure we had whatever we needed. The dining was delicious! We even ordered room service one night. Prime location in La Jolla. Nice walk to everything. I cannot wait to stay here again.
My husband and I were in town for my cousin's wedding. It was a quiet and cozy hotel. The accommodations and staff were fantastic! A very beautiful hotel! The staff was fantastic! I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning on visiting the San Diego area.
Beautiful, quiet rooms, with a very friendly and accommodating staff. They make you feel like you're the only guest there! Will definitely stay here again!
Hotel was beautiful, close to the children's pool where the seals come to visit. Hotel staff was nothing short of amazing. Treated my wife and I like we were their only customers. Made our anniversary very special. Can't wait to book another vacation there. Will be the ONLY hotel we stay at when we are in the area.
It was amazing, we booked the surperior room. We had a great time! We bought some bath bombs and used the big hot tub. And guest services was handled quickly and they are super nice and polite! Food is also amazing
