24 hours later and I'm still thinking -- er, daydreaming -- about it. The jars were amazing (and substantial). Ricotta was out of this world and the pimento cheese with bacon marmalade wasn't too shabby either. The hoppin John and pickled cukes that came with the catfish were divine. And the farm egg...I still don't know what that was, but I want more. So so much more. This may, in fact, be my new favorite restaurant of all time...and has redefined Hotlanta for me. If I could give them 6 stars, I would.
Thank you all for hosting the HRC Atlanta Pride Brunch. Awesome time and a great introduction to ESS. Looking forward to more Sunday brunches.
I only had the chicken biscuit, but it was is perfect!
In town visiting for the weekend and made a reservation for dinner. Best decision I could have made. Service was amazing, thank you Randy!!! Good was AMAZING as well. Randy made excellent suggestions and drink pairings as well. Dessert was the perfect way to end it. The farm egg is to die for, definitely something I would get again. We had a great time...our waitress (I KNOW SERVER) was cool and had great suggestions...it was Sunday Brunch and we had a 4 year old (mine) that we didn't feel like dealing with:) and the bocce court made an Excellent distraction. Bloody's were great...highlight was the huevos with that crunchy rice ...apparently it is steamed cooked rice that is dried and then covered in tapioca flour and deep fried, may not have ordered it had I known that...but now it is all that I can think about!!! I need to eat that again!!!
We came in late in the evening and had a wonderful meal. Had a hard time finding the door, they were out of the one thing I was told I just HAD to have (the chicken), and the dessert was not good BUT everything else was excellent!!
Service was good, food wasn't good this time. I love this place but was disappointed �!
