Dr. Galloway (and his team) saved my life. I had a very badly botched Gastric Bypass surgery at Eastside hospital that very nearly killed me and left me with a piece of fistulated, open bowel for nearly 9 months. Dr. Galloway went in and fixed the fistula, had a plastic surgeon assist with my abdominal reconstruction, and removed a section of damaged colon over the course of a 15 hour surgery. For the past 11years Emory University and Clinics have been part of my life. Visits gradually increased and the last 2 years being admitted for illness many times,I can say Each Doctor, nurse, PA's , interns could not have been better. Including other staff you come in contact with. They would hug you, pray with you, hold your hand when you needed them the most. April 4, 2016 I was admitted with a very bad infection again. Worse waiting room experience ever!!!! The wait time is ridiculous but not as ridiculous as the rude patient liaison who explains the wait process to you as if you were a five year old and can't distinguish when to use the word even or fair... which is not the same and then proceeds to get irritated when people ask her a question. No one needs someone to come out and address the whole waiting room unless you are going to tell us how long the wait is! That's really the only question everyone has that you and the one question ... read more
My Emory experience is connected to my disorder, Idiopathic Hypersomnia, a Primary Central Nervous System Hypersomnia, and through the good docs associated with Emory Sleep Study Clinic at Emory Brain Health and I am grateful for the continuing care, support, and ongoing research. Each is a valuable and validating part of my quality of care which also adds to my well being and aims to improve the quality of my life. Kudos and thank you Drs. Rye and Trotti (and Dr. Jenkins and Prabhjyot Saini) et al. So much gratitude!
The staff was amazing. Each team member that treated me was very caring, made me feel comfortable before surgery and after. My night and day time nurses were awesome. Tho my pain level was high and my attitude became a little rude due to all the pain I was in, my nurses treated me with kindness the entire stay.
Great care, wonderful staff, and great physicians! We were very pleased with Emory.
Arrived an hour early and they went right to work, doctors stay in the loop keeping waiting family informed, great nursing staff, and free good coffee
