Outpatient surgery experience for my Mom was great. Attentive nurses and staff. Clean facility with a nice waiting room. Great job of keeping family informed of patient status.
The people, quality of care, concern for all is a hallmark of this institution. I appreciate the care they provided for my family member.
I do get good service at Emory. The challenge is to be able to get short-term appointments with my Dr., since the usual availability is 2-3 months from the time I request it.
Unfortunately my visit was not good. We were there from about 10:30 am until after 7 pm. My son was transported via ambulance and the staff did not update us on what was going on. I was told several times that the doctor was coming in to speak with us only to end up going through a shift change the extended the wait even longer. Absolutely wonderful experience..3rd time around..Everyone are so professional,personal and attentive.My daughter's nurse Stephanie was so nice and courteous. The Surgical suites updates/processes are thorough and works for all. Everyone in the Surgical suite were very welcoming with a smile!
I think that I will never ever go there at night time. A security guard pulled his gun out on a young black unarmed male who had just purchased 2 Newports from me. I got the hell away from that place because it is hunting season to kill black unarmed males. I am dark skin. They get double points for killing darker complexion males. I feared for my life. That little display of power and control was too fucking close for my comfort.
This is the only hospital I go to in Atlanta (I'm from Henry County and drive there, if necessary). Mostly I've had good experience with them. I also send my loved ones here as well! On occasion, the ER staff is not as attentive, but overall I'm VERY pleased. Emory is great!
This was the best hospital visit ever! The dept. On 8th floor, running the scans. The technician there was the comfortable to have during a miserable sickness, I felt GOOD the whole time I was there, wish I could remember her name!
We love Emory University Hospital Midtown the staff is excellent.
