We brought our Jack Russell here after he ate some of his fabric bedding on a Sunday morning. We were told he needed surgery immediately, but in the same breath we were told if we did surgery he may not make it because of his age, the mass in his stomach (this was the first time we ever heard of a mass) she said there is also something wrong with his spine and he has a staple in his stomach ! Our heads were spinning . We said no to surgery and told them we are taking him home... we were told this was not the protocol that ne... read more
EDIT***- Dr. Smith called my boyfriend and I to discuss the situation. She was extremely apologetic, as was Tara. Calling a customer to discuss the situation shows the integrity and respectability of Dr. Smith, her staff, and the clinic overall. Please be defensive when dealing with her, she is not a nice person. Did I mention she put my dogs remains on the ground? Would she like if someone did that to one of her family members? My family recently visited Emergency Veterinary Services to say goodbye to our dog of 14 years. The entire staff, especially Dr. Amy Smith, were extremely compassionate and accommodating during one of our most difficult days. The care provided went above and beyond to make sure our feelings were honored. They gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye and made the entire process as comfortable as possible. We were able to be with our dog the entire time to make sure she felt safe. We are so thankful for choosing this s... read more
