Seriously Thank You. – We would like to thank you for the expert care you gave "Sophie" our brown lab, after she ate slug bait this past weekend. We appreciate your quick and responsive attention.

We'd like to thank the compassionate and caring staff at Emerald City for taking care of our elderly cat, Norman, and of us, during the traumatic event of having to put him to sleep due to multiple organ failure. Our normal vet is the Cat Clinic of Seattle, but they were closed when Norman was taking a turn for the worse. They had recommended Emerald City. The staff took the time to explain the procedure, let us have as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes before and after the procedure. The vet even consoled us becaus... read more

Thank you so, so much to the caring staff at Emerald City for taking care of my kitty, Boss Tweed, on Christmas Day. When they saw all the blood in his carrier they took him back right away and made sure he was stable. It turns out a little bit of blood goes a very long way. Whew. The receptionist gave me my space as I cried my eyes out, yet was very reassuring that Boss was going to be okay. The vet was upbeat and supplied just the right amount of levity to the situation, putting me at ease. I left Tweedie there for two day... read more

Thank you ! – My cat is already doing much better, and I think she saw a very competent and professional doctor.

Great Place – Then again, Ella was not on her death bed. I might have felt very differently about the "parents not allowed in the back room" policy or the 30-minute wait, if my cat's reason for being there had been different.

Good Clinic – 4 stars because I think there could be some improvements made ... the waiting room needs aesthetic work and more stimulating reading material! Maybe some plants? It may be one of the most boring waiting rooms in the Pacific Northwest. Would also appreciate relaxing music as opposed to the hum of fluorescent lights...

Thanx – I adopted a dog from a legit rescue on Tuesday, and it was horribly sick by Thursday. When I took it into a ""regular"" vet, they tentatively diagnosed her as having pain from her spay stitches. Wrong. By early Saturday morning, I knew my dog was worse than ever, and I took her to EC Emergency Clinic. It turns out that my dog has parvo (she must have gotten it a day or two before she was vaccinated by the rescue's vet). She's currently in her second day of treatment at the clinic, and is already doing significantly b... read more

Great Place – The first time I spoke with the vet, she listed 3 possible reasons for my cat's ailment, and listed the two she thought were most important to test right now. And, by the way, she did not recommend the most expensive test, unless the other two were inconclusive. She asked me if I was OK with the first two tests after I was able to look at the cost, and I agreed to have them done. This helped me get a feel (and a bit of a say) for how much I was going to have to pay for the intake, diagnosis, and preliminary tre... read more

Thank You – The receptionist/assistant was friendly and warm but mostly down to business, especially during intake; the doctor was not really one for small talk or warm fuzzies. This did not bother me and I didn't feel like I was rudely treated. I really don't care about my (or my pet's) doctor's work personality as long as s/he is intelligent, conscientious, and technically competent, and I don't understand why some of the reviewers are upset that the doctor didn't act like Oprah or their best friend. This is an emergency c... read more
