RecommendedFrom the beginning to the end of my visit to Elmbrook Humane Society, it was a positive and pleasant experience. I had originally stopped by "just to look" at some dogs I had seen on their adoption page but ended up leaving with a beautiful pup that needed a loving home. We adopted our first dog, Katie, as a family from there, and we adopted our Buster from there as well as a puppy. We had Buster for 13 years before he went to the rainbow bridge. we still have Katie who is a lively 17 years old. So thankful we got these wonderful dogs in our lives, with help from Elmbrook
My husband and I have adopted from Elmbrook and I am a volunteer. The staff is so caring and wants the best for all of the animals in their care.

We’ve adopted from Elmbrook twice, once in 2014 and once in 2016. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and took time to answer my questions when my husband and I decided to become first time cat owners. We adopted our puppy from EBHS and, even though we’ve both had dogs growing up, we learned a lot at Carol’a basic obedience classes. Our dog loves her crate so much that she goes in it when the door is off, so she’s easy to travel with.
