I’ve known Dr. Scherl for many years, but the pandemic disrupted our relationship. When we reconnected it took her exactly five minutes to suggest a new therapy that completely turned around a highly painful situation. This was not the first time that her diagnosis was rendered with such precision that it literally improved my life. Crohn’s may be incurable but Dr. Scherl makes it manageable for me.
Indisputably, Dr. Scherl is a phenomenal doctor with a stellar reputation and great career success treating patients with IBD. However, it is hard to recommend/endorse her. I appreciate she has a busy schedule, but it is both frustrating (and disappointing) when you try to follow up on blood test results for weeks and your emails to her through the portal, and phone calls to office staff go ignored.
