I had a hotel across this restaurant and decided I should try it! The name was interesting! I had to see what this is all about. Unfortunately I travel quite a bit alone, if not 95% of the time I'm alone and most definitely dining alone. Although good tasting food, service, and conversations with random people cure that! Loved visiting The Arrogant Butcher during my visit to Phoenix! We went for a late lunch and some drinks and everything we ordered was perfect. The appetizer pretzels with fondue cheese are worth the hype! The artichoke spinach dip was also perfect for the table, and their Caesar salad hit the spot! Everything was great quality and super delicious. Pro tip: The Arrogant Butcher will validate your parking!
The only thing I regret about my visit is that it was a solo dinner. I wish I was there with friends so I could get to try much more food, because everything looks delicious. Solid 5 stars for their food, wine, service and the patio. The patio was just beautiful. Also I was thrilled to be dinning outside on a February night (don't judge me, I live in Illinois). Cibos is such an amazing little gem right in the heart of downtown ARIZONA. It's family owned and operated, everything on the menu is delicious. The pizza is cooked in a brick oven and have a more authentic taste and flavor. Their pasta is also very tastey. I'd recommend ordering the Arancini to start, the diaovla pizza + bolognese spaghetti, and last but not least the freshest crepe in the valley for dessert! What a cute place! this is such a romantic place to be, everyone there was so relaxed and enjoying each other's company. There was a bit of a wait time on the Friday evening we were there, but we sat by the bar while we waited. The bartender was a bit on the ruder side and definitely was not paying us any attention. I found my favorite pizza spot in Phoenix!!! I'm a big fan of white pizzas with leafy greens on top and my pizza checked all the boxes. It was light, airy, and filling. The price is also not bad for a place like this. About $16 per pizza. Just be prepared for a wait. They don't take same day reservations (at least for two) so we had to wait about 35 mins on a Friday night. Service is also a little slow.
The place is beautiful , in the middle of all the hap in downtown. It still has a sense of privacy and romance. We loved the pizzas and pasta they gave us. We come from New York so we judge Italian food hard anywhere. The food here was great for Arizona standards, I have had better though. Absolutely delicious! We were visiting Arizona and wanted to try out the italian cuisine here. We ordered the Lil' Peppa and Linguine Cacio e Pepe. We ate every last bite and it was so good that we went back the next night before leaving Arizona. Parking: we Ubered but parking is available. Ambience: large yet intimate. The food is so good at Kawaii that my wife requested it for her Mother's day lunch. Many Japanese/Asian restaurants do a good job with sushi. This one is also very good but the thing that differentiates Kawaii from the rest is it's wonderful Asian seafood offerings. Maggie's Scallops, Salt and Pepper Flounder, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, Soft Shell Crab appetizer are a few of their best dishes.
