Due to COVID-19 I had a couple appointments canceled finally the doctor and I did a zoom call together and it was the first time I have done zoom. I felt comfortable & appreciated his patience with me!!! I am not a computer person! But we discussed all my concerns & I am confident in our next move for my Hands!!!
The office was comfortable and staff was very friendly. This doctor was wonderful! He was friendly, asked me a lot of questions and listened to my answers. He clarified my problems with arthritis and changed my medication. He was just very impressive overall, professional and approachable. I’m so thankful I found him.

Wait times weren't long but I had been traveling over an hour one way per appointment and he wasn't thorough and only ran tests my first appointment even though medication and lifestyle changes weren't helping over a year.
Dr. Steigelfest is absolutely the best! I truly believe he saved my daughter's life 3 years ago. She was diagnosed with Lupus Glomerulonephritis Diffuse, proliferative, class 4 at age 18. She is thriving now and a Junior at APSU. We will never be able to thank him enough. His staff is pretty awesome too!!!
He listens to you and explains what he thinks the problem is, what the workup is and how to treat it. I am a recently retired Pediatrician and know good medicine from average or poor is.
My mother has rheumatoid arthritis. She has been seeing Dr. Steigelfest for over 10 years. In that time, to manage her RA, he prescribed Enbrel. He hasn't done much else, I'm sorry to say. He never addresses the side effects of her medication, he doesn't offer any form of pain management, not even non-pharmacological interventions. He has not taken xrays or done lab work since her very first visit! Managing a chronic condition remainsquires a holistic thorough approach.We did not receive that
My wife has Lupus and the last time she seen the doctor she told them she needed a refill of her medicine. Well it has been over a month she called and i called and spoke to someone about it and they said it would be passed on . Well nothing has happened and wife is having bad flares. And if she ends up in the hospital like last time from her previous doctor. I will take it to a legal matter no patient should be treated like this and what happened to the doctor oath. Fix this issue asap.
Dr. Steigelfest is not only a very intelligent and competent Doctor his compassion is like none I have ever felt before. He ask all the right questions and desires to find the cause of your problems instead of just treating the symptoms. I would recommend Dr. Steigelfest to my own family members and friends. Thank you Doctor Steigelfest for accepting me as your patient and given me such good care.
