Very friendly and conscientious cleaning and partial adjustment. Three cavities were identified during the cleaning process and the partial adjustment has worked well.
A visit to the dentist is always fraught with imagined peril. I waited too long between visits (Forgive me, Doctor, for I have sinned...) and now must pay the price of neglect with at least one or two fillings, plus other stuff. Dr. Carl has always had a wonderful chairside manner, explaining what needs to be done. Gentle in his chastising about going too long between visits, he refrained from using whips and chains. I was recently referred to Elgin Family Dental by someone I respect. As a first time patient who was also in pain, I was thankfully seen within one hour after calling the office. The area of pain was examined and a digital X-ray taken. An appointment was then set up with an oral surgeon, followed with antibiotic and pain prescriptions for me to have filled. I'm very grateful for the high quality of service I received from Dr. Scott Herring and staff.
I especially liked that the x-ray implements are now small enough to fit comfortably in my mouth.
Everyone at the office makes me feel comfortable. Dr. Herring explains what he will be doing and relaxes me down.
