Best shrimp tacos ever! I ate there twice in the 18 hours I was in DC, but it was packed and loud Saturday at 6 pm and very quiet at noon on Sunday, so pick your time based on what atmosphere you like better.

Overrated taco place doesn’t need rude bouncers. Go somewhere else.

Standing outside lined up like cattle. Never again! I would have left if it wasn’t for the fact that friends were already inside waiting on us so we could celebrate a birthday. Food was delivered quickly and taste ok, parking was horrible along with waiting in line. People at door, ride. Never again.

This is a unique situation. I was victim of handicap discrimination. 3 of my friends were celebrating their birthday and me being the designated driver, tried to enter to take care of my passengers. There were two bouncers – a nice gentleman and a woman. The woman decided I was “too drunk” because I walk with a limp. I walk with a limp because I was born paralyzed and have a physical disability. So after this “bouncer” decided I was too “intoxicated” to enter the establishment, she immediately called the police. My partner t... read more

El Ray is a crap place. They wouldn’t let my boyfriend in because he has a limp. Apparently that constitutes him as “too drunk”. Little do they know, he was paralyzed as a child and that carries into his every day life because you can’t fully cure paralysis. I tried to tell to manager and/or bouncer woman this (I don’t know what she is, her job seems like a waste of time) but she shoved me off saying I was making it up and threatened me. This place is a sham. It doesnt deserve the business of people who believe in equality.
