Had fun browsing this awesome nursery! So many things here I am unable to get back in Iowa...and yes, many would never survive our climate! So it was quite fun to learn the new plants that love California. BTW, my husband was only interested in the lizards! Sheesh!

I love this place more than myself. I'd die for el plantio nursery.
We have gone to El Plantio for years. Before we changed our backyard, we would get our garden veggies there. We just went there for our water resistant plants, trying to save precious water. They are very knowledgeable too. We showed one of the ladies a picture taken at the San Marcos Kaiser. She was able to tell us the name and showed us that they had 5 of them. Very happy!
The two employees really know their botanical stuff. Very patient with explanations. Came back after two hours to pick up our bushes. I would highly recommend this business.
The selection is always perfect and every one of the employees are very knowledgable! My favorite nursery in the entire county!
Love this place...even more now that I know I can purchase California Native plants here. <3
Brian Goddard, I completely dissagree. The nursry is still in business because they care about thier customers and employees. This is the first place I send people for ALL of thier gardening needs.
