If there is a wait at this popular restaurant, order a classic margarita or a 'floater' and dip into the chips and hot sauce and/or queso. Before long, you will be addressing a plate full of the Tex-Mex standard of your choice. Or try any of the variations on barbecued chicken-the chalupas of this variety are especially tasty. Entrees make this a fairly inexpensive spot, provided you do not get carried away on the margaritas. Great salsa ,great service and friendly people.I can't wait to go back
Terrible service. Several servers looked us right in the face and walked past in silence. The ONLY good thing about this place is the funny sign in the front. If you want drinks or food or decent parking, go somewhere else.
Poor service, taco salad was pathetic and over priced, guacamole tasted completely like onions and cilantro, and false advertising (they say dollar Rita's on Thursday's, but evidently that's only rox, its $2 for frozen, and $4 for a strawberry frozen according to my waitress). I loved this place in high school, but will stick to Chuy's from now on.
Had a great b-day in Austin with family...my request was to eat at El Arroyo...food was wonderful as well as the service...it was a beautiful day so we ate on the patio..loved the bbq chicken chalupas....will be back soon
The service was ok and the food came out fast. We ordered the steak fajitas which had no flavor. They had no salsa verde or any spicy salsa. The chips and tortillas were store bought which is a big no no in my book. I'm from San Antonio so I guess I'm just spoiled when it comes to good Mexican food.
Gary & I skipped out on the tab, we figured " we would rather owe it to them than cheat em out of it "
